  • Timetable changes - 3 September 2019

    From 3 September there will be timetable changes to routes 4/4A, 137 and X76. Stanway school buses operated under contract to Essex County Council will be registered as local bus services. Please see below for full details.

  • Clacton Pier Avenue stand allocation - 25 July 2019

    From the above date where you board your bus at Pier Avenue may change. This affects Hedingham routes 4/4A, 134, 135 and X76.

  • Routes 134, 135 & 137

    From Thursday 25th July there will be timetable changes to Clacton town routes 134, 135 and 137. The changes are a result of stakeholder feedback and include additional journeys during the week along with new journeys on Saturdays.

  • M-tickets

    From 30 June customers with m-tickets on the East Anglia Buses app will notice their ticket appearance has changed and includes a QR code. Your m-ticket needs to be shown to the driver in the usual fashion.

  • Route 7 - St Osyth Beach improvements

    From Saturday 25 May route 7 (Brightlingsea - St Osyth Beach - Clacton) will operate an enhanced timetable. Additional journeys will operate on Mon-Fri school holiday days and on Saturdays* between May and September.

  • Fares Increase

    Please be aware that bus fares on Essex C.C. supported routes (50/A/B, 69/A, 79, 84B, 85, 91, 92, 95/A, 352 and D1/2) in Essex are set to rise from 01 April 2019 in accordance with the Retail Price Index which is rounded up to the nearest 10p.

  • Hedingham steps in again to help

    From 25 February 2019 Hedingham will step in to provide a bus link between Brightlingsea and Clacton on Sea via St Osyth Beach. The current operator Go Ride is withdrawing its route 79 and Hedingham’s replacement will be known as route 7.

    The Go-Ahead Group which owns Hedingham has worked with Run Friendly and the University of Leeds looking at active travel and the changes we could all make to our daily commute.

  • Colchester Town Centre bus stop changes

    In agreement with Essex County Council and other Colchester bus operators, stopping arrangements for most routes (at the Bus Station and around the Town Centre) will be changing from Sunday 21 October.

  • Hedingham donates bus

    Hedingham has donated a double decker bus to The Colne Community School & College in Brightlingsea for use as a common room. It will be used by pupils aged 11 and 12 in year 7 to sit in at break and lunch times.
