  • Route 7 - St Osyth Beach improvements

    From Saturday 25 May route 7 (Brightlingsea - St Osyth Beach - Clacton) will operate an enhanced timetable. Additional journeys will operate on Mon-Fri school holiday days and on Saturdays* between May and September.

    Please be aware that bus fares on Essex C.C. supported routes (50/A/B, 69/A, 79, 84B, 85, 91, 92, 95/A, 352 and D1/2) in Essex are set to rise from 01 April 2019 in accordance with the Retail Price Index which is rounded up to the nearest 10p.

  • Hedingham steps in again to help

    From 25 February 2019 Hedingham will step in to provide a bus link between Brightlingsea and Clacton on Sea via St Osyth Beach. The current operator Go Ride is withdrawing its route 79 and Hedingham’s replacement will be known as route 7.

    The Go-Ahead Group which owns Hedingham has worked with Run Friendly and the University of Leeds looking at active travel and the changes we could all make to our daily commute.

  • Colchester Town Centre bus stop changes

    In agreement with Essex County Council and other Colchester bus operators, stopping arrangements for most routes (at the Bus Station and around the Town Centre) will be changing from Sunday 21 October.

  • Timetable changes - 3 September 2018

    Please note there will be minor timetable changes to route 6 from 3 September 2018. The changes are to allow us to operate the timetable efficiently around school times. Route 87 will be withdrawn from this date.

  • Clacton Town Bus Network

    Hedingham Omnibus will be introducing replacement timetables for most of First’s routes in Clacton – including 3/4/4A/5/5A/6. The new timetables start on Sunday 29th July.

  • Network Changes - 1 July 2018

    From Sun 1 July we are planning on making timetable changes to routes 87, 88, 89, 130, 137 and X76. These changes are to better match supply with demand and to address punctuality. New timetables are available to view.

  • St Oysth Beach

    From Saturday 26 May until Saturday 29 September 2018 Hedingham will operate route 1 between St Osyth Beach and Clacton. This route replaces First route 19 and will operate Mondays to Saturdays including public holidays.

  • Route D1/D2 minor changes

    From 3 April 2018 there will be a change of route on the D1 (Maldon - Bradwell on Sea) and D2 (Maldon - Southminister) so that all buses run via Post Office Road in Woodham Mortimer and not via Lodge Road. There are minor changes to the timetable as

    Route 63 between Colchester and Berechurch will be extended to West Mersea via Peldon village. The route will operate up to hourly on Mondays to Saturdays catering for commuters, students, shoppers and leisure trippers. Save ££ with Hedingham 63.

    Hedingham has donated a double decker bus to The Colne Community School & College in Brightlingsea for use as a common room. It will be used by pupils aged 11 and 12 in year 7 to sit in at break and lunch times.
